Healthy living, connectedness and visual performing arts in one great package! It is with great enthusiasm and spirit that The Samaritans of Rhode Island/Forget-Me-Not Gallery presents to you “Step This Way” Living Life through the Art of Dance and Music. Join us for 2.5 hours of culturally diverse dance performances featuring dance instructors and music from various genres including Latin, African, Hip Hop, Cape Verdean, Zumba and other beautiful visual art forms. Audience and visitor participation will be encouraged!

The PAWTUCKET GALLERY TOUR is a self-guided tour where the public is invited to visit ten local art galleries to view artwork in a variety of creative expressions and media, art that is historical as well as contemporary, international and regional.

Join us for a special event presentation by Pawtucket Teachers' Alliance of the RI Philharmonic 'Pops in the Park'. Please note time has changed to 2pm on Saturday September 14th. 

(Please note date has change to Saturday at 12 Noon.) Built by pioneer craftsman Charles I.D. Looff in 1894 the carousel was relocated to Slater Park in 1910. The carousel features a functioning North Tonawanda Military band organ, as well as 44 standing horses, 6 menagerie animals (1 camel, 3 dogs, 1 giraffe, 1 lion), and 2 chariots.

Celebrating its 20th year as part of the festival is the Pawtucket Film Festival. Known for its history of showing thought-provoking and challenging films along with live musical acts and free libations the Film Festival is putting on a special outdoor presentation of Buster Keaton’s silent classic “Steamboat Bill Junior” performed with renowned silent film accompanist Jeff Rapsis in Slater Park on the evening of the 13th. 

An opportunity to visit the studios of 30 + artists and makers in the Pawtucket Armory Arts District. The studios are normally not open to the public, but with our friendly tour guides you will have access to dozens of Studios over the course of the evening.

This event will incorporate an interactive papermaking demonstration, a seasonally themed meal sourced with local ingredients, and a conversation on sustainability and the creative use of invasives in the paper making process.

Join RIMOSA (Rhode Island Museum of Science and Art) at the Pawtucket Public Library for an hour-long Animation Creation Program! Make a “mini-animation” to take home, and work in small groups to make your own stop-motion film using found objects. All levels of experience (or lack of it) are welcome! Ages 8 and up. The River Bend East Songwriters Festival will bring a diverse array of songwriters together on the grounds of historic Slater Mill for a day-long celebration of music.

Three events, chock full of entertainment, Culture Shock Block Party, River Bend East Songwriters Festival and the Wayback Stage and Antique Auto Show keep the party going into the evening, making up the key events to Downtown LIVE!

Pop Up Shop by COVE and Flying Shuttles Artists featuring pottery, weaving and fine art. The Studios support the creative endeavors of artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Rhode Island Chinese Dragon Boat Races & Taiwan Day Festival is an extraordinary FREE EVENT for the whole family to enjoy, and our 20th anniversary is going to be even bigger!!!

Experience the elements through movement, dance and interactive art installations. Elemental spirit is a unique event which combines live art with a professional DJ, immersive lighting and a welcoming dance space.
