Join us September 14-15 at the slater park fall festival

Part of the greater Pawtucket Arts Festival, the Slater Park Fall Festival is a celebration of Art and Culture set on the grounds of historic Slater Memorial Park. The festivals open-air market highlights over one hundred crafters, artisans, and creators of original handmade items. The surrounding areas are filled with fun, food and entertainment for the whole family. The festival culminates with a special outdoor performance by the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra. It’s a weekend not to be missed. Admission is free.

The 2019 festival will begin on Saturday morning (the 14th) at 11am with the start of our arts marketplace, food court and other events. Check out our family fun area with face painting, crafts and more great entertainment for the kids. At 2:00pm the Rhode Island Philharmonic takes the stage for their annual, legendary, Slater Park performance. We’re back again on Sunday with more fantastic family entertainment, truly exceptional art work and area culinary treats. The Slater Park Fall Festival is part of the Pawtucket Arts Festival celebrating its 21st year with arts events throughout the city from September 6th - 15th.

Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, Slater Park is the oldest and largest public park in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The park lies on the banks of the beautiful Ten Mile River and features incredible historic sites such as the 1685 Daggett House as well as an original 1895 Looff Carousel. The park has full recreational facilities, including tennis courts, thirteen picnic sites and a frisbee golf course and scenic bike paths. Slater park is home to the Rhode Island Watercolor Society and even has its very own dog park.

The RI Philharmonic will take the stage at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 14. In the event of rain, they will perform at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 15th. Make sure to bring a chair or blanket to relax on the lawn as you enjoy the concert.
 

The Pawtucket Arts Festival celebrates the City’s creative and cultural life by presenting vibrant arts events throughout the month of September to Pawtucket residents and visitors to the Blackstone River Valley.

Attention artists, crafters, food trucks, caterers, vendors and performers! The 2019 Pawtucket Arts Festival is now accepting vendor applications for space in the Arts Marketplace, Family Fun Zone and Outdoor Food Court at the Slater Park Fall Festival. This FREE event brings the arts community together for a weekend of arts shopping, outdoor fun and family entertainment. Performances, activities, attractions and our open air marketplace including live music, arts and crafts, face painting and more!
